Title: PSPUAE Requests
Post by: xLoial on November 04, 2006, 09:19:57 AM
Nice work!

on the other hand... didn't previous version allow disks to be in subfolders?
I like to organize my disks like
DISKS
  L__anotherworld
            L_________disk1.adz
             _________disk2.adz
 L___lureofthetemptress
            L_________disk0.adz
              _________diskA.adz
              _________diskB.adz
              _________diskC.adz
              _________savedisk.adf

This is most useful for keeping savedisks together with the actual game, but also easier to find the different disks in a multi-disk game...

So I got 2 requests:

  1. Allow selecting disks inside subfolder (when I try tyhat now, I get DF:(ms0:/PSP/GAME/PSPUAE/DISKS/lureofthetemptress), and not the actual disks

  2. Allow selecting .adz files, which is the standard name of zipped adf's

Both of these "simple" requests will help let me keep the same file structure on PC and on PSP

Other than that, great prog!  ;D

"didn't previous version allow disks to be in subfolders?" ,  no.

To your first request, thinkp is already working on it. You only see the folder, due to PSPUAE only looking for .adf files in a set folder.

Dont know about second request, aint ever looked at it. As .adf is the standard and simply adding em to a .zip gives good compression.
EDIT:- got me thinking now, but im busy all day today, wont have chance to look until tonight.

ah, you misunderstood...

.adz, is just a zipped adf, but with adz extension instead of .zip...
This is just a matter of recognizing .adz the same way as a .zip...

At least regular UAE builds like WinUAE supports it...

Adding these few bytes of code would save me from having to rename files when transferring  :P

... the first thing about the folders ... you can make/create your own folders from within windows explorer <> usb connection .... its all done easily...  (new folder, drag the adf/adzs)

adz/adf are now supported too
