Just occured to me that people on this forum might have an interest in Kosmodrones, a PSP homebrew game I've been working on for about 6 months now together with some friends of mine. It is heavily based on Turbo Raketti, and I've been playing that a lot while making this to make sure Kosmodrones will have the same kind of feel to it.
Kosmodrones will feature 2-player adhoc deathmatch, race mode and online ranking system. I'd say the coding is 95% done. Just a profile handler that is missing and logging of the match data. But the level designs and audio are still being worked on, so I'm guessing a release in a month or so is likely.

This level don't have normal gravity. Instead everything gets sucked towards the white dwarf at the center of the level.

A cold winter level with the other spaceship model.

This is the alien fraction's home world. The level changes between day and night all the time here, so when it is dark, you'll need to use the lights mounted on the ships to see where you are going...

Well, from those shots, its looking good.

It looks amazing, I'll be waiting for the release, but dont forget ur pals at PSPUAE.com when u become rich and famous. Those screens looks damn good and the idea with the headlights and white dwarf are pretty cool. Ive never played the game ur 'cloning', but it just looks like asteroids to me. I'll do a search on it.

I see an opening for 3d modeller,... you need a modeller? :) me me me!

Thanks! Glad you liked the screenshots. :) I'm very lucky to have such talented graphics artists working on this. Of course, graphics aren't the most important part of this kind of game, but certainly won't do it any harm. Just hoping the game lives up to the graphics, is all...
And thanks for the offer EmuChicken. I've already got three people doing the graphics, so I'm good. But the fact that you want to help on this is a nice compliment. :)
Just put up a simple webpage for it with some more screenshots: www.kosmodrones.com (http://www.kosmodrones.com)

I'm currently part of a new PSP news site starting up, I was wondering if you could maybe give me an interview or a couple of paragraphs about ur team and project. If you would prefer set questions then just say the word and I will start writing one up. I wanna try help you get the best possible exposure for your game, Ive not seen any homebrew released recently that is as polished your wonderfull creation.
I have PM'd(top left) you on this site with a link to our new website, as Im not sure if we have officially opened for business yet and dont want to give the link away just yet. Tell me what you think and also let me know if you have obligations to another site, maybe your own?

Just wanted to let people know that this game is close to being released now. Right now we're making an intro video and a promo video showing the game in action. Some other minor work that I need to finish up as well, but a release a couple of weeks from now seems probable. We are rather pleased with how it has turned out and enjoy playing it. So hopefully it will be a decent addition the PSPs homebrew catalogue...

Ooooohhh nice!
TurboRaketti is definitly one of my favourite games, been waiting for a remake ever since I heard about TurboRaketti AGA, which I guess never became reality. Ah, I skipped so many hours in high school to play this with my old bandmates with the HI-FI on max.
Looking forward to this ;D Please include the Sitimus level.

Just to clarify, Kosmodrones isn't a remake of TurboRaketti. It is in the same genre, though, and we have used TR as a reference to make sure our ships handles the same way etc... That being said, we recently received a lot of usefil files from the makers of TR. So beating the race times on our race levels will be extra rewarding for those who have played the original. ;)

Aliright I see. Good luck anyway, your game looks really nice :)
And tell Heikki Kosola that he has my greatest respect! TR beats the crap out of both Gravity Force and Thrust.

hmm.. i must have missed this bit....
personally i think GF II and Gravity Power both beat Turbo Raketti 1 / 2 ... but they are all good.
and as such, all 4 are now online playable with winuae-kaillera!
I'm sure Hai and Aboth will both be interested in this if they read here.

Of course I read here. :) I haven't tried playing anything with winuae-kaillera yet, but Turbo Raketti and Silkworm would be among the first I'd have a go at. I don't remember Gravity Power. I should look at that, so thanks for mentioning it.
