Title: SaveStates
Post by: FOL on March 04, 2007, 09:31:44 PM
I have added them to downloads section. I have upped the new states I have been working, and which are stable with 0.62. The plan is to go through the whole alphabet.

The old states will soon dissappear as all my old states are very unstable and buggy with 0.62.

Making them now, ;)

Edit:- DONE, Robocop 3 was a bugger, but I have tweaked the settings to get the best out of it. It does take awhile to load, but once loaded it runs well with sound. I had actually forgotten how much the music sound like It Came Form The Desert.
Robocop 1, is evil, it sucks with sound, :(. Robocop 2 aint to bad with sound.

After doing Robocop 3, you got me thinking about EPIC, game I had free with my A600HD. I loved that game, made by same people. Oh well will have to do a state for that to, ;).

There in the downloads section, baboon.

You actually liked Epic? ...  I bought it from a car boot cos it looked a LITTLE like Elite 2...  but I couldnt get into it at all!

Hmn, on the topic of Elite 2/ spacey bobs... how playable is Frontier on PSPUAE?  I cant really imagine it without using the keys and mouse thats all :/

Cheers FOL, i'll give it a blast later this afternoon. Thanks for sorting it out so quickly!  ;D

...and your not wrong, Epic used to be a quality Amiga title! :)

EDIT:
Just tried it and it is running very nicely on my psp!  ;D

like you said It does take a little while to load but this is a small sacrifice to pay when the game runs this well. Lots of good memories for me asociated with the game, I forgot that Its a bloody hard game to play though! lol

Top stuff fella, looking forward to the 'Epic' save state.

Thanks again.

I aint tried frontier, but if you are worried about keys, HELLO, CD32 version, and best of all the actual game is only around 500kb with CD32 PAD assigns added.

i -have- tried Frontier, and it doesnt play well imho.... then again, i'm used to it on an a1200 030!

however, i had completely forgotten about the CD32 version, and when it does start to play well, that's a bloody good idea to use that FOL

we seems to be asking this a lot... but do you have kickstart3.0 named kick30.rom in ROMS/  ?

edit: this is assuming you are refering to the save-states which are here on-site.

Just to add, the kickrom issue is sorted in next release, it will no longer crash, but tell you your missing the kickrom. This problem only effected the V1.50 Eboots, if you ran the V1.00 ebbot in either GAME or GAME150 it would run fine.

Sorry Skateblind, but Another world crashes..every time i try to load it,i've got the "Software failure" screen. ???..

Try loading the state, let it complete the loading or reach the software failure guru, then load it up again. Does that work?

Im really angry with myself for not testing it properly, sorry Shogun, im trying to sort it out now.

[EDIT]
Ive got a friend to test the state for me on his psp and he says it works if you double load it or if you load the config first and then the state. Either way should work for you.

Did you copy Another Worlds config across onto your psp in the configs folder?

This trick is in the FAQ on the forum which Hungry Horace(Save-State Mastermind) put together.
Here it is:
Hungry Horace's SaveState FAQ'S (http://pspuae.condor.serverpro3.com/index.php/topic,401.msg3650.html#msg3650)

Let me know how you get on...

Already been said this alot of times, some states, seem to crash on first load, simply reload them and they work fine. Might be something to do with PSPUAE's default config on loadup.

Is it anywhere else besides the R.I.S.S. board?
Does pspuae come with a readme?
If so maybe add the R.I.S.S. faq to it or add a new readme with the pspuae download
