Yay, I got a bug! I have won something? ;D
When I try to set a Memory amount (the three settings are all at 512kb, like default), an empty box appears and my PSP crashes and turns off.
Aside this, all works correctly :D
Why this happens? :)

huh?
If your trying to set, slow = 512, fast = 512 and chip = 512, thats the problem, as it does'nt exist. Only proper memory amounts are available now. See the readme for, valid a amounts (The revised readme in Installation help forum).
Alot of crashing took place, due to non realistic memory values were selectable. That shouldnt happen now, i have just tried altering the memory and it all works fine, as you cant select fast = 512, you have to set it to 1mb or none.
Sappo, you posted in the archived forums, ;). Moving thread now.

try deleteing "1.config" file, as this may be for an old version of pspuae, and it may be setting those values automatically.

"as it doesnt exist" ... better change the menus so you cant select it then fol ;) hehe... nice find :>

You cant select them.

as i said, and old config file is probab;ly selecting them - but FOL is right, you cant manually select them.

A winner is you, Horace! ;)
Old config file... ;D
I had thought about that, but I excluded it, because I didn't that 512kb Fast now is not anymore selectable :)
Strange that all games worked well, even if 512kb was not a valid selection :)
Sorry about posting in Archived forums, I just didn't notice until now :)

i rememeber that some or most games dont work with FastMem, but I dont quite get the limits or advantages of 'Slow' or 'Bogo' memory.
Should I always have some SlowMem to make stuf run better?

Its all memory at the end of the day. Having more sumtimes helped with games that could use extra ram, 1 example is SWIV, that detected extra ram (slow) and would load the game data to it on load up.

yeah, in my experience with PSPUAE, fastmem doesnt actually speed things up like it should. A good example of this is Frontier, which runs like a dream once you bung some decent amount of fastram into a real machine.
unfortunately, PSPUAE doesnt have the "grunt" to improve the smoothness like it should... but tbh - even winuae struggles to make the same improvements from adding fastram as real hardware does.
