i have placed lots of adf.game disk files in my 'Disks' folder in PSPUAE 0.63. on my psp 3.52 m33.
I had no problems running these games, until I added more and then more.
i've now noticed that the ones i had placed in the 'Disks' folder last just dont appear in disks list when i try to load them from the load disk option.
I just want to know if there is a limit to the number of disk images you can have in the 'Disks' folder before PSPUAE 0.63 stops you from browsing them or load them?
Is there a maximum capacity in m_bytes the 'Disks' folder can hold?
Apart from this annoying limitation, I love this emulator. it really is a corker.
can anyone answer the above question? please. ::)

I haven't had this problem, but I don't have more than about 20 adfs in the disk folder. But consider using savestates, which go in the state folder. They load faster than adf, and a lot of effort has gone in to creating them.

I agree with Rav., use save-states(aka R.I.S.S.) instead of the disks, then delete the disks that you already have states for and you should have some more room for these extra disks that dont appear. I dont re-call there being a limit, but it sounds logical that there would be one, I doubt any of the admins or beta testers have ever had that many disks in the folder so it would have never cropped up.
I would read the read-me's linked on the front page and check if they have any details on this capacity problem, I would do it for you , but I dont have time at the moment.

there is a limiti to the number of files for some reason, i cant remember what it is.
this is why the folder-browsing options were added. i would bet good money this is mentioned in the readme, as skateblind rightly points out.
just make folders like /DISKS/ShootEmUp/ /DISKS/RPG/ etc or A,B,C..Z instead of cramming everything into one folder which must take an age to scroll through!

Have you tried scrolling to bottom of list?
It doesnt put them in order, so say i added 50 adf's they would be in alphabetical order, if i add more, then they normally add in alphabetical order at end of list. If you can check that, as I know this happens for configs.

been wanting to talk to you about that anyway... i noticed states are listed in alphabetical, whilst configs are in the orger they are created (i think) - it would be nice to have the option to choose how folders are listed ;)

yes there is a limit. I had the same problem.
If you check the DISKS directory with utility program, the ADFs will still be there...as you delete one-at-a-time, the new (previously hidden) ADF will appear one-at-a-time at the bottom of the list visible thru PSP-UAE.
If you have tons, yeah I agree the best thing to do is make a A thru Z list of folders in DISKS as to not overflow the DISKS folder.
