Anemos.
after i saw your pic of this in action:
http://pspemulation.condor.serverpro3.com/forums3/download/screenshots/AMI14.jpg
i noticed your TV is pretty much a non-widescreen version of mine.
Alas, I have been unable to get my "copy" of your cable to work so far! ... i am going to have a couple more attempts, but scart plugs really annoy me, and I am getting frustrated with my efforts and the amount of time it's taking me to achieve nothing!
If it comes to it, could you build one of these to sell me?
-
first, i dot test this cable on any wide TV,s ,only on LG LCD TV flatron M1717A(in not wide) ,and normal CRT TV 21" working both good.
dunno if working on wide TV yet..
I can make one cable to send to you (free) ;)
but i have not original 23 pin (plug video Amiga) only 25 pin printer porting and i cut it to 23pin.
like this :

if you like i can make one for you

hi Anemos,
I'd certainly like to give it a try, knowing that it is at least tested with an amiga on an LG LCD screen.
I wont take it free though, postage costs covered at least!
thank you Anemos, and i'll let you know. I have one more plan to try first!

hey FOL whats up? we lost you..
@Horace.. i have also Scart cable from amigakit, this working also fine on my Tv,s.
maybe your problem is the wide! my LCD TV is NOT wide!
so.. im not sure for this: try to change the 1Kohm resistor with a bigger (like 2Kohm) on 22 pin amiga to 16pin scart.
maybe needed droping the voltage there to working the wide mode..
Edit: this diagram for ZX+3 using only 68ohm resistor to 16pin scart on 12V! maybe needed smaller resistor and not biger for WIDE!
http://www.pcwking1.netfirms.com/helpage42.html
im using also this cable whit out problem on my TV,s.
Dunno.. but careful the 12V in wrong place can destroy the scart board on your TV!

Update: look the edit in the last post..

I cant see why it would make a difference between wide and 4:3, 12 volt is 12 volt.
Set will detect it no matter, infact, you could cut the 12 volt pin and switch it manually.
12 volt is not needed, as you can manually select AV1 or AV2 (scart sockets).
The 12 volt, only tells the TV what AV / EXT to switch to.
-
im not sure.. maybe this is important for wide:
SWTCH Audio/RGB switch / 16:9 0-2 V=TV, 5-8 V=WideScreen, 9.5-12 V=AV Mode
on pinout scart : http://pinouts.ws/scart-pinout.html

You missed my point, you could cut that pin and it would still work.
Those voltages have to be a mistake, its only 1 voltage and thats 12 volts.
Its simply there to switch the TV to AV mode.
Anemos, simple question, does your RGB to Scart turn your TV / LCD to AV mode?
-
Amiga RGB outputs seem to be very sensitive.
FOL, i am not sure it would still work.
the 12V thing was missing from my (old) cable, which only displayed the screen as 'white' ... i know you said it's for switching FOL, but its possible newer TV's use this to check if it should bother pulling a signal through?
The one i tried to make like Anemos', flicked to white, and -then- went black with "no signal" displayed. I think the only different with the 12v line being connected with the resistor on it.
i would guess the widescreen thing makes no difference though Anemos. everything else from the days of non-widescreen has worked fine on widescreen TVs i've had! Cant be sure though.
no one in this thread can state any of these matters as fact imho, until working wirings / combinations have been tested.

@Fol, yes on AV mode.
@Horace you can check also that diagrams..

It is FACT, you dont need the 12Volt switching signal on an scart cable.
I have worked with different type of problems relating to scart connections between equipment and having 12 Volts makes no difference to operation apart from switching the TV to an AV channel.
Even with newer TV's its used for switching to AV Channel. Some sets use some other unused pins to transfer data, i.e. Sony's smart link. The Amiga however would never use the smart link pins.
Besides, another FACT, newer TV's detect the Video Signal and do it that way. Maybe it doesnt like the signal voltage. I know for a FACT my Samsung, skips AV's that have no signal. i.e. nothing in my scart connections, then AV1 and 2 are missing off my selection menu.
Anemos, your links are confusing, cause they are all different.

Aaa... i just want to Horace for others choice.
im on new schematics Amiga > Scart.. hope next days have answer ..

I know, im just interested. Cause same thing happened to me, and it would only work on 1080s monitor.
On TV is was white, mine did work on the TV before.
My wife was playing Pinball Fantasies, when after 30 mins the screen went white, and it never worked again. Always stayed white.

have you seen this one Anemos?
I dont quite understand it myself...

Very interesting Horace.

so.. using [Small Signal Transistors (NPN)] resistors and one capacitor 10?f,
dunno.. must be first found this transistor to test..
@FOL, im not sure where is the ground line ?? on the ends sides of resistors? (look the attached photo)
also.. i have the C547C transistor is the same to BC547 ? im not sure!
i have also:
BC548 C
BC559B
C548B
dam! what is it the BC547 at all? (Amplifier, planar, signal transistor?) aaaaa...
1 BC547 NPN general purpose transistors Philips
2 BC547 NPN Epitaxial Silicon Transistor Fairchild Semiconductor
3 BC547 General Purpose Transistor Korea Electronics (KEC)
4 BC547 Small Signal Transistors (NPN) Vishay
5 BC547 Small Signal Transistors (NPN) General Semiconductor
6 BC547 NPN Silicon Epitaxial Planar Transistor Honey Technology
7 BC547 NPN SILICON AF SMALL SIGNAL TRANSISTORS Micro Electronics

All edited post in the last post plz.. /\

It is actually drawn based on an incorrect assumption. You can connect CSYNC directly to the SCART connector and it will work. The circuit in there is because the person who drew the schematic thought that CSYNC is TTL level like H and VSYNC are.
So just disregard it and just hook it up.

Sounds reasonable, :).

so.. this diagram: http://eab.abime.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=16635&d=1211291464
using analog lines and composite from amiga, TTL is digital signal ,dont using that, also Vertical and Horizon ,.. i dont see somthing wrong before to test..
the transistor maybe is only for signal reinforcing on composite..
@Horace check again my diagram and if is right the sides of plugs.
test your amiga scart on other TV smaller CRT ect.. (i hope the problem it does not come from your amiga)

As jope said (he posted it on EAB), the circuit is not needed.

My original cable worked on CRT (badly), but not LCD. It was missing some wires though compared to yours, and others.I havent had time to test other wiring combos, but the one i wired the same as yours, gave only a 'black' screen on the LCD (not tested on CRT)
(i hope the problem it does not come from your amiga)
i've tested using 3 amigas. A500, A600, A1200. all of which have the same result.

ok,do you know your scart diagram of this LCD TV?
check your manual perhaps is there.. and post it here.
some Tv,s has deferent scart lines, and some has clear RGB,some others not original RGB,just composite signal..
-
fixed diagram like as first post..
My fault multimeter measuring after closing the connectors..
sorry for this..
