There are so many different versions of kickstart rom 3.1 which is listed on http://www.lemonamiga.com/help/kickstart-rom/kickstart-rom-3-1.php (http://www.lemonamiga.com/help/kickstart-rom/kickstart-rom-3-1.php)
Does PSPUAE support them all?
I have
Kickstart v3.1 rev 40.68 (1993)(Commodore)(A1200).rom
Kickstart v3.1 rev 40.68 (1993)(Commodore)(A4000).rom both of which are recognised by WinUAE rom scanner. But when I ran the auto-config in PSPUAE for 3.1 config, my PSP froze...
Would be cool to have a rom scanner in PSPUAE, just like in WinUAE

Aslong as they are not Amiga forever kickroms (oversized) and named correctly, they will work fine.

I found a good way of testing the kickstart roms for PSPUAE.
I've got loads of kick31.rom variations but ofcourse we can only use one at a time. Also, good thing is that CPU 68020max, CHIPSET ecs, settings work for kick1.3 and 3.1.
Anyways, select kickstart 3.1 and ensure nothing is in the amiga drives. restart and see if you see a bootscreen. if not then pspuae has problems loading or using it. repeat by substituting another kick31.rom variety file. Here's my results/findings below:
Kickstart v3.1 rev 40.60 (1993)(Commodore)(CD32).rom WINUAE 1.4.6.0 NOT RECOGNISED PSPUAE BOOT SCRN
Kickstart v3.1 rev 40.63 (1993)(Commodore)(A500-A600-A2000).rom WINUAE 1.4.6.0 NOT RECOGNISED PSPUAE NO BOOT SCRN, JUST CONTINUOUS BSOD & MEMORY CARD ACCESSING
Kickstart v3.1 rev 40.68 (1993)(Commodore)(A1200).rom WINUAE 1.4.6.0 SAYS A1200 PSPUAE BOOT SCRN
Kickstart v3.1 rev 40.68 (1993)(Commodore)(A4000).rom WINUAE 1.4.6.0 SAYS A4000 PSPUAE NO BOOT SCRN, JUST CONTINUOUS BSOD & MEMORY CARD ACCESSING
* when I say WINUAE NOT RECOGNISED, I mean the ROM scanner... but haven't tested whether it would actually run...
** BOOT SCRN meaning whether I saw the boot screen or not..
*** BSOD black screen of death

You cant use this method, simply because WinUAE accepts Amiga Forever Kickroms. It will add to the confusion.
Very interesting, CD32 kickrom, cause it should act like a normal Kick3.1 (A1200) with out the Extended Kickrom.

I got some useful replies from my post on WinUAE (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?p=416425#post416425), especially the one from rhester72 posting about:
http://kickstartrevival.dynalias.com/kickstart.html
Not sure if this is useful, but it does to show that the only CPUs I see in use were 68000 & 68020... and that kickstart 3.1 works on BOTH 68000 & 68020... and and kickstart 1.3 were only on 68000...
WTF there's no A500 listed... .and am sure I run kickstart 1.3 with 68020 (... hmmm)...

Kickstart 1.3 (and 2.04 / 2.05, if i remember correctly) is only ment for 68000 CPU, for 68020 its suppossed to be Kickstart 3.0 or 3.1.
With emulation, you might be able to get away with some odd configs. Its not like the real hardware config then though.
Just use the Quickstart configs, I added with 0.62.
