Title: SWOS - More difficult to score than usual??
Post by: douglemcnori on October 07, 2008, 03:55:04 PM
Is it only me or is it really really difficult to score in the RISS version of SWOS? I am a competent player yet I have only managed to score 6 goals in nearly 30 matches - the keepers seem super-human - anyone else experienced this or have the stats been tweaked?

Cheers

Dougle

the stats (and names, and teams and gfx) are different in the AmigaOnline SWOS RISS, but not in the SWOS-9697 RISS.

More likely you find it diffuclt because the game struggles to keep full-speed, requiring some frameskip even with sound disabled.

So has anyone else experienced this then or is it just me? The speed seems just about fine its just the superhuman keepers - everyone except my keeper that is.......

well you still havent told us which RISS version you are playing, which teams, who you are playing as, etc etc so its kinda hard to answer!

i've only struggled due to the speed... but i have some particular 'methods' for great goals ;)

I've also noticed that PSPUAE has movement issues, the last one I had was on the Jump 'n' Run game Zool, with both the D-Pad and the Analouge sticks, when I've had no problem jumping to the top of snow hills. It take a lot of vigerous movements to get up there and my time mostly runs out.

I've had none of these legit jumping problems on the SNES emulator version of Zool on the same PSP, although the levels are mapped differently in each version, you still have the same old snow hils to jump and on the SNES Emulator it does it with ease, plus you have to press an addictional button on that version making it actually harder to jump, but still Zool jumps better in that version on the PSP.

I guess this is the same probem with SWOS right, the control issue?
