more detail here:
http://pspgohacks.com/first-psp-go-hack-exploit-found-already-2-days-after-release/
seems it's a user-mode only exploit at the moment, but it's a good start

LOL, I said i was going hold back on buying a PSP GO until it was hacked for homebrew.........should i start saving? guess its a big feather in someones cap to get the first homebrew running on the Go.
I reckon Sony has noticed the poor sales figures already, they have secretly given Dark Alex the exploit to get it hacked quickly, so people buy the GO in time for Xmas! maximise those Xmas sales.
Cheers for the heads up Horace :) take it your tthinking about a possible future purchase?

I would be, if if it wasnt for the hideous price-tag.
i suspect i will do what i always do. wait for it to have been out for 6 months to a year, and then purchase. maybe, like the slim, i will just go for a second hand one.
if the processor power was improved, i'd jump on it.... but as it stands, it doesnt really have a lot to offer me tbh.

I thought the go had a 500Mhz processor?
I would have thought that would make PSPUAE very very playable (if not 98% full speed).
EDIT:- My spending finger is starting to twitch, ;).

no. The rumour was that the PSP-Go had a 480Mhz processor, due to some specs that were leaked prior to launch:
http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=223213
however, this it transpired was a misreading the USB bus speed.

no faster CPU for the Go i'm afraid.

yep, Its no more powerful than your humble PSP1000, pretty dire hardware, just the 16gb flash memory to boast about, guess if you lob in a 16gb pro duo to, then you have a 32gb PSP but is it worth the price tag? maybe the PSP2 would be a better wait?
-
guess if you lob in a 16gb pro duo to, then you have a 32gb PSP.
Apparently you cant even to that, it doesnt take ms duo pro, only M2 from what I read.
Plus how do you play normal PSP games on it, without a UMD drive?

you pay to download them.

They allow you up to five of your umd games. You have to login with current psn account on your go, then login with your normal psp, and insert your game umd's then it will unlock them for the go.

you sure about that? this only says 3, and only for those of us in the EU.

"the PSP Go Rewards program offering 3 free games to European UMD owners will not be offered in the US."

watch the video and judge for yourself:

what i found most intresting, was the ability to savestate your games at any point!
Horace could be happy with the apparent difference in quality, less plasticy feel.
I'm a little worried about the smaller screen size, although this will make the game images appear sharper, it could lead to dragging your valuable eyesight out.
Still unhappy with downloading games, I watch Doris fiddling with her IPOD touch and think, feck that!
It looks nice but I'm not convinced by a long way!
Horace......budge over, I'm sitting on the fence with you for a while! :o lol

I just fell off that fence backwards! shock!!!!
Mr FOL, you dark horse!
but you cant use PSPUAE on it yet! lol ::)
is this because you believe the earliest PSP Go offers the best chance to be hacked?
like the PSP1000.

In a court of law, your not willing to comment, would be deemed an admission of guilt FOL.
Guilty...guilty.....guilty your lordship.
You have been found guilty FOL. you must now serve 12 months in solitary confinement, with only a Nintendo DS (without a stylus)
Aaaaargh........ now thats painful ;)
