Title: Eye of the Beholder
Post by: Washac on July 07, 2010, 11:37:14 AM
Hi

I have tried and tried all different settings but cannot get EOB running under PSPUAE :(

Also how do you play games with more than 2 disks, how do you disk swap ?

Any help with with this would be good :)

Thanks....

Have you read the readme?

Press select for the Emulator menu, all settings can be altered there.
You can also change disks there.

Hi

Once i got home I downloaded a different set of ADFs and it all works now, well except the sound which is all sort of stuttering :(

I am using the slim version of PSPUAE, if this helps, or makes a difference.

You need to tweak settings.

Try Cpu Turbo or CPU 2 CHIPSET options.

Just thought I would add that the sound is even more choppy when the PSP is reading the Mem Card.....

The options I mention are in the menu, where you change the cpu, you will find "turbo" mode.
If Delta got it running fine, then Im sure you will crack it.

@Delta, if you see this, can you post your Eye Of The Beholder config.

will have a look, though the videos were version 0.72.

I always remember EOB being alot more troublesome than most games in the config department. I still have all the configs for 0.72 games, sure I can dig something out, then try and adjust things for 0.80.

try these settings, my 0.72 savestate works ok on 0.80, just loaded it up ok.

How are you running homebrew?

Custom Firmware, ChickHEN, or Save Game Exploit??

EDIT:- If your using Custom Firmware then it should run fine.
Anyone else with a Slim 3000 able to confirm crash? or have a solution?

Im not sure as I dont have a slim 2000 / 3000 to test.

Only use emulation to run old games not involved in Homebrew, looked it all up so know a bit more
about the jargon involved in all this :)

Been playing some EOTB today on the PSP and the crackles and stuff seem to affect the intro music and in
game  music more than the sound effects.

Sorry left out part of the version - should have been version 5.00 M33-4
