Title: Super Foul Egg [ADF]
Post by: Hungry Horace on October 02, 2007, 05:40:41 PM
I thought it was about time i uploaded this classic AMOS title for you all to enjoy.

A perfect example of how to create a simple, fun and attractive game, within the obvious limitations of AMOS.
Originally featured on an Amiga Power coverdisk.

Super Foul Egg (http://hol.abime.net/5389) is a one or two player Columns style puzzle game, with enough options to keep you entertained for a lengthy time, and the multiplayer mode enough to keep you entertained for life!

(C) 1995 Impact Productions.

Programming by David Hay
Music, graphics and additional programming by Michael Hay

Seems to work on most general WinUAE settings, and i've never had any problem with it on my A1200.

The game is provided as a zipped ADF.

Thanks for that.

I now have 3 (including this one) new AMOS games I know of ;)  After downloading Super Foul Egg, I did an AMOS search on Hall Of Light (HOL) and found 2 other AMOS made games - Quest For Meaning Of Life and Hotel Manager.

not from HOL no, but if they are there, they are likely to be in a TOSEC collection or similar.

Hi,

I got around to playing Super Foul Egg today :)

It's a good game, but it seems to be a touch too tough (even on easy) for my liking. I mastered Tetris on the Gameboy years ago and SFE is just too hard. I found myself swearing at the screen as the computer was just moving those blocks around much faster than I could. Maybe I'll get better at it with practice?

The graphics are great, as is the sound, but more difficulty options against the computer would have made it much better.

maybe i'm a masochist, or i am just too used to the 8-bit games, but i like the fact its tough!

for me it makes it more playable, as you have to practice and get good to beat it!

the TOSEC collection btw is a massive, and regularly updated, collection of Amiga ADFs. (i think there are TOSEC sets for other machines, but i dont really care about those!) - i'm sure google has all the answers you need ;)

I did play Super Foul Egg long ago for a looong time with my friends.
I got it from a magazine as I can remeber.
It was really great, good memories!

"multiplayer mode enough to keep you entertained for life!"

I couldn't agree more.
Thanks
