Hi there
I wasn't sure which forum to post this in but here goes:-
When I try to download the AMOS TOME / PD CD all I get is an empty or broken file.
I'm not sure is the problem is at my end, though saying that I have successfully downloaded other files from the site.
Thanks
Tish

the Tome thing is one we have to re-located.
the PD CD i have re-ripped and will be uploading again soon, but i need to leave it running overnight!!

Do you need the latest TOME files horace? I did get the manual, not sure where it is, might be in my email, but I think it was hosted on a seperate site, hopefully it is still up. Let me know.
-
yes please skate - any tome stuff you have is welcome
-
My big trouble with the currently available TOME stuff was that the editor is a 3.x version and the manual is for a newer 4.x one. Functionality is almost the same, but a lot of things had swapped places making it all quite confusing. I'd love to have either a 4.x editor or a 3.x manual! :D

I have reuploaded the PD CD but for some reason cant seem to fix the download link
this *should* work as a direct download:
Amos PD CD 2.0 (http://www.ultimateamiga.co.uk/HostedProjects/AmosPD_CD.iso)
-
FOL - changing it to an underscore still hasnt fixed the 0kb download problem:

Could just create a new entry for it?

Tried that, may have to reinstall portal, but still trying other things first.

Has there been any update to this? The link to the TOME extension still appears to be to an empty file.

Still trying to figure it out.
Been talking with the authors of the portal, apparently, they have never seen this problem before.
You have FTP access sindewinder?
EDIT:- The Download is missing, hmmmmmm. Let me check into it, as it was there before.
I remember linking them all out.
Use this direct link for now,
Amos PD CD 2.0 (http://www.ultimateamiga.co.uk/HostedProjects/AmosPD_CD.iso)

Thanks, though I was actually looking for the TOME extension download, not the PD CD. Is there a direct link to that one? And no, I do not believe I have FTP access. At least I've never been given any info on it.
-
Sorting now.
For some reason its completely missing, never noticed it before.

So skate has it saved?
I cant find it anywhere on the net, only links come back to old server or here, :/

I'll reupload it.
--edit--
I can't reupload the manual since it is a 73 MiB ZIP file. The limit on the upload page says 800000 KB for me. Is that right?
--edit2--
After doing some tinkering with the Preview program on my Mac I was able to compress it to less than 3 MiB.

Sam, do you have access to ftp on new server?
If not, pm me a user name and pass. Ill set it up.
Both you and Side can use it then.

It should be up-and-running now. The JPEGs need to be sharpened though in GIMP before I can say the manual is perfect but that's ok.
@FOL
I saw that option but didn't want to take the time to figure it out. Thanks anyway.
-
Ok. Now I feel foolish. Just as I got here I see that Asymmetrix finished his OCR version of the manual. Now I've uploaded both the HTML and PDF of his edition to the downloads section.

Umm, sry for the late reply, what did you expect? ;D
Do you guys still need stuff from me? I will have a look tonight after work if I remember.
[EDIT] Found some files, not sure what you want if anything though.
