Title: Sensi Online Edition - Save progress
Post by: obmij77 on April 04, 2011, 09:35:40 AM
How is it best to save progress and transfers etc on sensi online edition. I know it comes with an adf for some purpose but not sure what I am meant to do. I also seem to have an issue when saving game progress on RISS. For example flashback: I always need to reboot uae after Ive done a save state on it? Understand when creating a save state from disk images but is creating a new save state the best way of savng progress on RISS? If you create a save state and you wanted to start again say, it would mean reinstalling the files to the psp drive again i think?

Any help appreciated,

Thanks

Hi

You basically have two options with the RISS... either you simply save your savestate to one of the 1-5 "slots" or over the top of the original file. This of course is quite bulky and cumbersome and isnt always the fastest method.

Those RISS, like SWOS, that have a savedisk included, the idea is that you use the original save-game routine in the game itself, exactly as you would if you were using a real amiga. This has the advantage of saving smaller files, and is often quicker than re-saving an entire savestate... plus it gives you the option to share your savedisk with other versions of UAE, (winuae, e-uae etc) should you wish to continue your game on another emulator.

Flashback has pass-codes through most of it as I recall, but I seem to remember using the main save-state save routine as 'backup' throughout when I played it.

Hope that's of some help.
