Title: Site back online
Post by: FOL on September 16, 2011, 01:00:53 AM
Hi,

I wont go into details but site was hacked.
I have deleted old forums and updated to all the latest versions.

So its back up and running, just need google to unblack list domains.
Im still working on theme, there are still some issues (i.e. the frontpage).

EDIT:- For the time being only registered users can access downloads.
Will sort once I get chance.

EDIT:- IF your still being greeted with a Warning page, then ignore it.
They have'nt removed it as yet for www.pspuae.com. I have asked them to.

Yep, well most of it.
However as they used that theme to hack site, I think its best we try and stick to the updated software theme.
Need time to sort, I also need to fix portal as its acting screwy.

Glad you made it back, my PC TOOLS kept blocking access saying my computer was at risk if i visited the site!!  :o

still waiting for some more free time to play with version 0.80 beta 0.19.

The games I have tried seem ok, maybe a very slight increase in speed but it's very marginal.
The beta 19 seems to behave itself, no causes of concern encountered :)

I tried these titles so far:
Xenon
Alien Syndrome
Alien Breed
Buggy Boy

All fun! and very playable with a few adjustments to configs.

Keep up the good work and nice to see you back guys!  :D

Your right, I had a feeling this would happen. www.pspuae.com has been unblocked, but now it says the main domain it points to is blocked.
I have requested they remove block.
Thanks for the heads up.

Im will try an set some time aside to fix remaining issues with site (due mainly to upgrading everything).
I was wanting to sort a release out around the 5th year of site, oh well.
Will try and get back to it one the site is fully sorted.

FOL - i need to know what theme we butchered previously - i am sure it was not this one, but the blue one previously used by AMOS Factory etc.

I have located the index.php, index.template.php and style.css files (plus vairous graphic images) for all of our previous themes :)

the theme style has changed too much for an "easy" repair - i will need to start-over using "Core" as the default.

I really dont know when i'll have time to do this though, but i have files now, so just give me some time :)

Thanks Horace, your a star.
I know how long you spent on the themes before. I was gutted that we cant pull them across.

Im also having trouble with front page news, I remember the option from before, that let you select different boards, but I cant find it now.

really struggling for time for this, sorry guys  :'(

back at college now and already got work to do.

it is not forgotten though, but I may have to use something as more of a template than previously, and it isnt going to look the same i'm afraid to say.

hey FOL, can you restore the chatroom please.

I have done a lot of work to re-building the Red Ultimate Amiga Theme, but have a few key differences you may know how to fix, which i need to discuss some time.

cheers

FOL - i'm sure the main logo image used to re-size.

I have managed to make it into a refresh button again, but i cannot work out how to do the "re-size with window" thing. Do you think you could fix this on the Red theme, and let me know which file you changed? (So i can put it into my master template for all UA  themes)

cheers!

Try removing Height=100% text.

I have fixed menu links, chat only shows up when logged in and also re-enabled downloads link.
Still needs some work as alot of stuff are missing when looking as guest.

You'll need to let me know if your changes involve any files in the theme folders. Otherwise the changes could be lost very quickly!

Also, isnt chat-for-guests a good idea for anyone having login problems?

all the themes, except amiga online (which i was never happy with) are back and available now :)

Still  might need to have them 'forced' in a few places, but the hard bit is done! enjoy!

i may still make some other changes, but this stage would be a good one to have it backed up for at the moment.
