I've been getting quite a few problems accessing the Ultimate Amiga site lately. I'm using IE10 on a 64-bit Windows 7 PC. I'm usually accessing the site between 10:00 pm and 3:00 am UK time.
I use an automated login courtesy of Norton's Identity Safe. So I just point to the login page and Norton's fills in the User ID and Password.
A lot of the time, the login fails and I get a page telling me that and asking me to try again in 2 seconds. I can understand and live with that as a mechanism to prevent robot invasions (if that's what it is) but it goes downhill from there.
As long as I just use the page that I'm on, everything is usually fine. But if I dare to "go back" on a page, I get no further replies from the site. Even already open pages will most times refuse to refresh and IE10 reports "web site unavailable". A complete exit from IE10 and trying again is to no avail, I'm locked out for the rest of the session. It's particularly annoying when I've been typing a long reply and try to go back to look up a reference on another open page. Bang, I've lost the lot (though some may regard that as a blessing with the length of my posts sometimes ;D ). It happens so often that I now copy the post to a text editor and carry on there so at least I've got a copy somewhere and don't have to start from scratch again. It doesn't happen in any consistent manner (sometimes, rarely, it all works as expected) but is very annoying.
Any ideas? Is it the automated login that's the problem?
Edited 30 minutes later!
It happened again when I posted the above. I hit the Home link and bang, all gone. Stopped and restarted the internet connection but still no good. Then, about 30 minutes later it now works again.

Serves you right for using IE ;)
On a serious note, one for FOL I think!

Now that is wierd, im using safari, firefox, timberwolf, owb and have no issues what so ever.
Ie has always had issues though, its complete and utter tat. Fedup of butchering code to fix ie bugs.

Thanks FOL (I think! ;D ).
I'm not having problems with anything else with IE. Maybe the problem is with the Norton's Identity Safe automated login. I'm so used to it and use it all the time. I'll try to remember to do a manual login next time and see if the problem persists.
Otherwise, I can live with it ::) I've got into the habit of copying post replies to a text editor before doing a preview or anything that changes the page. 8) The real annoyance is the complete lockout from the site for anything up to an hour when it happens.
