Hello all,

Firstly, I just wanted to say great work creating these emulators and to help bring back some of the amazing memories I had as an A500 & A1200 owner. I really want to enjoy the emulator and get the best experience out of it :)

I just wanted to ask one question really, and that is which version of PSPUAE is most recommended to use for tweaking games to get the best speeds out of them? I've been to the download section and the description in each one has some benefits over the other but I just ideally want to concentrate on one version that's an "all rounder".

I have read many posts here but opinions seem to vary on what version people are using.

Apologies in advance if this question has been asked many times.

Oh, and one more quick question, rather than asking for what are the best options to use for getting games running well, I want to ask what are the settings and options to avoid that would make games run worse so that I don't make things worse.

Hi,

Sorry for late reply.

I would say the latest version / beta. You could also try 0.72 FE (however the cpu core doesnt have 100% compatability but its faster).

Hi Fol,

Thank you for the reply, I will use the latest beta version as I tried to load one of my favourite games using the 0.72 FE (Batman The Movie) and it resets the PSP so I'll use the Beta13 one.

PS, I'm really looking forward to the latest 0.90 release, the improvements sound fantastic :)

You using Custom firmware?

Yes I am using 6.60 pro-c2 on a PSP 3000 x 2 (red and blue)
