Hi people.

I'm shocked to find that people are stillusing AMOS - I thought I was only [d]saddo[/d] person still using it!

I'll get around to posting some of my programs online soon (for you all to wonder why on earth did I waste time doing that) - I've written a version of Who want's to be a millionaire, My own game (Textris), a version of Bookworm and am currently in the first steps of writing Bejewelled (the game is fully working in both normal mode and puzzle mode but there are no graphics or sound yet)

I just do it for fun...and i don't think I've ever fully completed a program in my life! All the main programs work - I just get bored doing things like high score tables etc...

Am I alone in this?

This site is certainly dedicated to Amos and AmosPro but, in case you are interested, there is also a Yahoo group dedicated to the production of a sequel to Amos tentatively called Mattathias (son of Biblical prophet Amos).  You can log into the mailing list here.

Hello Andy,

Yes, there are still a few of us using AMOS.  I look forward to seeing your programs, and I don't think I've ever completed a full program either...but this will change with Mattathias BASIC.  As SamuraiCrow said, it's a modern implementation of the AMOS language.  And SamuraiCrow is also correct that it's named after a biblical figure from Luke 3:25.
