AMOS 3D and AMOS Pro
« on: August 19, 2007, 06:43:27 PM »

Hi guys,

Recently I've been playing around with AMOS 3D in the good old AMOS the Creator. I usually tend to use AMOS Pro instead, and therefore I was wondering if there's a patch or something that will make AMOS 3D work in AMOS Pro. Thanks in advance for your help.

None that I'm aware of.  AmosPro uses a different extension format from Amos the Creator.

The AMOS 3D extension works with both AMOS the Creator and AMOS Pro.  There were two extension libraries that came on the AMOS 3D disk.  The one titled AMOSPro_3D.Lib is the one that is for AMOS Pro.  Just set it up in slot 4 in your config and make sure the AMOSPro_3D.Lib is in the APSystem drawer.

Edit:  Actually, it may be that the AMOS Pro disk came with the AMOSPro_3D.Lib for AMOS 3D.  I'll have to check when I get home.

Yes, there are 2 AMOS 3D extensions - Voodoo 3D 1.0 (AMOS:TC) and Voodoo 3D 1.02AP. Not sure where the later can be found, but I think I have them both :)

Certainly, I have used AMOS 3D to make 3 objects (my initials "ADB") which were used in a simple intro for one of my projects - been so long I can't remember which! :(

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll see if I can manage to get AMOS 3D working properly with AMOS Professional. Thanks again for the help. :)
