The new Amos compatible BASIC is Mattathias and it has two versions planned: First, the SDL version which will work on AmigaOS 4, MorphOS, AROS, Windows, Mac and Linux. Second, the AGA chipset classic Amiga version.
The reason I list them in that order is because the SDL version will mostly be based on existing source code such as
sdlBasic and
Low-Level Virtual Machine. Since there isn't an LLVM backend for the 68000 series processors yet and the custom copper-lists and sprite functions aren't exactly the same in Amos as in the AmigaOS graphics.library there will be quite a bit more work that will be needed to write the AGA version.
In order to get the latest information on Mattathias, you can join the Yahoo group linked to the little globe under my avatar. It's a fairly low-traffic mailing list.
As for what I've done in AmosPro so far, I've got a text-scrolling demo in the downloads area called the
Ribbons and Curls demo.
