The Amos Pro Manual required alot of processing :)

I am glad you find it useful.

The AMCAF Extension is very powerful, and would be great hosted here.

Update:

Guide to HTML - done, easy to do
HTML changing, merging pages etc  - done
HTML processing (Amos Pro Manual Style) - done

Validation - Almost done  :)

cheers

Out of interest what software do you use? Something like TeX or LaTeX?

It depends where i start :)

The Amos Pro Manual required :
1) manual scanning to hires images, fixing rotation, etc then OCR to txt.
2) txt to clean formatted txt by removing tabs/spaces alignment probs etc.
3) Any basic programming language, I use Visual basic to help with batch processing of any repetative tasks.
4) Ultra Edit for manual html editing, column formatting, Macros :)

Amcaf manual was in Amigaguide format :
1) convert AmigaGuuide to HTML, any amiga converter to make the crude html
2) UltraEdit after that, easier as I already have my own html formatting/styles as macros
3) changes/merges of pages changed link locations especially html anchors so:
4) Visual Basic create a database of command names/links locations, scan all links, page locations and replace with new names / link names, export new html pages.
5) link check software like free link checker, spell checker
6) modify html version in ultra edit for page numbering, print prieview in Firefox
7) Redirect printer output to PDF files, import into Adobe Acrobat & process pages
8) Preflight PDF to 1.4 export to distiller save as pdf 1.3
