IntOS extension
« on: May 13, 2009, 05:12:12 AM »

The IntOS extension for AMOS gives access to Amiga OS library / GUI functions.

I have not seen it here, so here is a link if anyone wants it.

I tried it on my system and I can't seem to get these routines to work.  Maybe they are incompatible with AmigaOS 3.9 or something.  By the way, since they are not an extension but are some Amos routines that access the system through a custom library, I put them in the productivity section in the downloads area rather than the extensions section.

Hi

thanks for that. It is a rare program to have, so i upped it.

There is also good information in AmBOS_v5_04b, about accessing libraries like Explode.Lib and new commands with source to many games and apps for amos :)

I do have IntOS and did get it to work at one point. I'm not sure if I made any notes regarding it's use. I'll have to have a search around and see what I can dig up.

Theres a time limit posts can be edited?

Anyway, I confirmed that I do have IntOS and, better than that, I have it working.
Here's my basic setup:

The IntOS folder containing the routines are in the same directory as the AMOSPro_System and other AP folders. I also have an Exec command at the beginning of atleast one of the IntOS demo programs which resets up the SYS: location. The reason being that anytime an IntOS program is run it has to access the IntOS.CustLib which is in the Libs folder (along with the other AMOS required libs).
If that confuses you here's a directory listing of what I'm trying to say, with the important bits highlighted in red:

I am running OS 2.04, emulated on WinUAE 1.4.4 (yes, I know there are newer updates... I have 1.5.0 downloaded months ago, but haven't installed it yet. I believe the most recent version is 1.5.3).

Yes.  This dates back to when Overclocked was throwing tantrums and deleting and editing his old posts to remove incriminating evidence.

The newest WinUAE is 1.6.0 now.  Also, does IntOS work under Kickstart 3.x?

Argggh.

I tried to answer your question, but since I don't have OS3 right now it's gonna be a little hard. I'll download the OS later if I remember. I did just get OS2.04 running on the 3.0 ROM but AMOS crashed when I tried to run it!!
