apologies - must have missed this.

This website is far from dead ... just sometimes the "amos people"  get busy!!

Yes, by integrating an extension into the Amos Pro 2.0 Interpretter, it is immediately picked up by the compiler - nothing extra needs to be done!

I would definitely recommend using a number of extensions like AMCAF as they improve AMOS greatly!

Thanks Hungry Horace.  As one of the (self-appointed) "AMOS People":

No  ;D

We are a bit busy as we're coming to grips with fixing the bugs in AMOS Pro now we have the sources.  And some great work is being done on integrating AGA code into AMOS.

Note also that the AMOS compiler is notoriously buggy at times.  If your program compiles ok, then fantastic.  If it doesn't, then that's something we aim to fix.  But it will take time.

We're just a bit slow off the mark sometimes ...  ;)

Not only is the Amos Compiler buggy, it generates inefficient code.  Maybe somebody will figure out a way to compile Amos with a GCC backend or something someday.

The only reason an extension might not compile with AmosPro 2.0 is if it is an unregistered version of that extension.  Since AMCAF and TOME are freeware, they will definitely work with the compiler.

Not entirely true.

Some released extensions (I have a few) do not have the correct end code. To put it clearly, the error/no error routines (or the pointers to them) are faulty, and can crash the compiler or can cause compiled programs to crash, despite the fact the code works in the editor.

If you think you have a faulty extension, just give me a buzz and I will see if I can correct it for you.
