« on: September 20, 2012, 12:39:30 PM »

Dear Friends:

For a long time I used amospro 1.12 with compiler and it always
worked. I recently installed on my amiga amos 2.x from the coverdisk,
I will from now on use the amospro 2.x
Will amospro 2.x compiler work fine ?
Is anyone using 2.x compiler and does it work well ?
Thank you !!!

Erm, Yes and No...

Do you mean V2.x or V2.0?  I haven't tried the 2.x version and don't know anything about what it fixed or added (and don't know where that upgrade is anyway).  I'll assume V2.0, which is what our docs re-write is being based on (as the most suitable starting point).

Haven't used the compiler much but it does have some bugs (that might turn into an understatement now I've tried out a few things! :o )

Which coverdisk?  I've only browsed over one of them and it only had a very cut-down version - missing out most of the extras and productivity stuff, including the help files!  You may be better off doing a fresh install from the original AMOS Pro V2 six-disk set to get a pristine working environment.  Upgrades always seem a bit messy.

Some info on bugs is here:

These list a few and some fixes.
