Found this on our local (Aussie) news website.  Some lost Andy Warhol works have been found on some Amiga floppies and have been recovered by some 'forensic computer experts' in the US.

I read about this the other day and the news is all over Amiga forums and email groups. The images I have seen are pretty cool and it is great that they managed to recover his work before the disks went bad. Floppy disks (and most magnetic media) are good for around 30 years when stored in the correct conditions, so they may have been recovered just in time

Amazing stuff - it seems like the recovery of old data, from old film cans to amiga disks, seems to be fashionable at the moment!!

I think our Aussie ABC News website must have suddenly taken an interest in 'retro computing'.  This cropped up there today.  It's not Amiga, but I find the video of the game strangely compelling and watch the whole thing all the way through.  Perhaps it's the suspense of waiting for something to happen...     But what an intriguing find.  I wonder what they're going to do with them all?

Maybe the sudden interest from the ABC is because they have a very popular TV program called 'Good Game'.  It always had a 'what's this game?' segment that features many of the old favourites and quite a few fairly obscure ones.  The usual format - they ask at the beginning and tell you at the end. The rest of the program is a mix of new game reviews, news, interviews and stuff.  They've changed the format for this series so things may be a bit different now (I haven't watched any in this series).  If you fancy a taste of the Aussie view of gaming, have a look here (you can also stream the program through their IView section).
