unbricking fat PSP 1002
« on: August 16, 2010, 07:07:44 AM »

hi guys! it's been a couple of years since i was here last. lots has changed and i lost my most beloved PSP ever, which is a shame. but hopefully getting a second hand one some time soon ready for unbricking.

however, my fiance has a fat PSP series 1002 with 6.20 firmware. i only have my slim Pandora and so she and i were wondering if i would need to start the whole process from scratch with a fat battery or is it SOMEHOW possible to use the slim battery (if not left in for more than 30 seconds?)
i know Chris talked me through it for ages last time (god bless him and his patience D: ) so a lovely simple explanation of what i need, and what i need to do would be really awesome :D ^o^

how have you guys all been anyways?? :3 <3

Need more info, about bricked PSP. Does it boot, but its got a blank screen? Or it boots and functions dont work.
You could send it to me, as its a phat PSP, I have all the stuff here needed to reflash it.

Finally, Welcome back.

Does'nt the phat battery work in Slim? if so, im guessing your slim is already on CFW. If so, use that to pandora the Phat Battery.

i would send the PSP but i'm in australia with my fiance so postage would be pretty darn high :D haha.
i no longer have any slim PSP's, all i have left are my memory card with pandora installer and the pandora slim battery.

the phat psp does boot (it has been unbricked before but my fiance accidentally upgraded the firmware O.o), the emu's show up, but the error message "the game could not be started, the data is corrupt" comes up. i could fix all this in my old slim but i have no clue what to do with this brick of a psp lol.

Best way to solve this, is to buy a pandora'ed battery for your phat.
Then use your pandora stick with that.
