Same old question
« on: November 13, 2007, 08:00:08 PM »

Hi
I know this question or one very similar has been asked (and answered) a few times already on this forum but even after reading all the replies I still cannot get PSPUAE to run on my PSP.

First of all I'll try to answer all the obvious first questions.

I have downgraded my PSP to 1.5 then upgraded to Darl Alex custom firmware 3.40 oea.
I have downloaded PSPUAE 0.63BE
I have held R before booting up PSP and tried running 1.5 & 3.40 kernal
I have downloaded kickstart ROMS 1.3 & 3.1 (from 3 diferent sources incase they were the dodgy ones) named the accordingly and placed them both in the KICKS folder.
I have tried placing the version 1.00 and 1.50 folder (with Kick ROMS) in all 3 of my game folders (game, game 1.50 & game 3.40) on my memory stick
None of this works.

When I run PSPUAE from the game menu on my PSP I get the picture with the writing about past & future, the screen goes black then about 15 seconds later the PSP turns itself off.

Please could someone put there thinking cap on and tell me what it is I'm doing wrong as I'm desperate to play SWOS again.

Ta very much

you will have to confirm (screengrabs or something) that you are definately;

- using the 1.0 eboot in  GAME150/  (this was my preference on 3.40OE)

- having the correct kickstart for 1.3 (256kb) named "KICK13.ROM"  in GAME150\PSPUAE\KICKS\

- having copied or created the folders;

\PSPUAE\CONFIGS\
\PSPUAE\DISKS\
\PSPUAE\GUI\
\PSPUAE\KICKS\
\PSPUAE\SCREENSHOTS\
\PSPUAE\STATE\

- using the PSPUAE 0.63BE eboot from this site, and not an unofficial source.

- removing all OE plugins from running whilst attempting to run PSPUAE

I think you may have found my problem I'm pretty sure (At work at the moment so can't check) that my Kicksart 1.3 is 512kb not 256k. Will check later.

Thanks for the suggestions.
