Horace,
I can't thank you enough for the time you spent providing me with information/links I need to play one of the most incredible games ever made. Bloodwych was the first game I had ever experienced Co-op and even deathmatch (mega fun casting spells down dark corridors into eachothers backs!)

talking of which, i plan (when the editor is done) to do a proper "Deathmatch Arena" version of Bloodwych! particuallry for quick online games.

BTW *remember the ST VS AMIGA wars???*

myself and MadMunky still have them!

How much would I love for a remake using todays technology.

personally i'd like to see an AGA version, new levels for the old version, or a new version with editors, extra functions etc.  I love new games being made for old systems, and i worry that the game would suck in "proper" 3d or something!

Bloodwych is the game I'll take to my grave.

i should put this on my sig. ;)

Before I stumbled across the link I provided in my first post when I was looking into how to play coop online, I came across an amazing Bloodwych site. That site, I think, did belong to MadMunky. I was a bit gutted actually that no one has actually signed up. I will do just that. Looking at it though, it's only just gone live?? I saw some of the hacking BTW...wow you guys go to some lengths :D

yes, me and madmunky chat a lot!!  i started my own site, becuase his old one was never updated. I just worry he may lose interest again at some stage!

as it stands though, we will run our sites in harmony, and mine will be focused on hacking and "unusal" versions of Bloodwych, such as PSPUAE version, and the AmigaOnline one.

Was there ever a lvl editor out? Did anyone actually make custom levels?

i've done some with "manual" hacking, and there was a half-editor for the PC version, but since the complete workings of maps (triggers, pads etc) has never been fully documented, no one has ever made a full editor (yet) - we are looking to rectify this!

Regarding PS3, Linux, UAE and controlling via PSP........I  haven't had the PS3 long enough to install Linux yet. However, wouldn't this be in vain as I believe that Sony has blocked any serious access to the GFX processor, making most apps void of any usability. I'm not well up on the technicalities. If I was anywhere near as good as you guys, I'd be helping you out :D

well i saw some talk about running UAE on the PS3 (with linux) with some success, this was why i asked. I think such things are far more likely once both PSP and PS3 have custom firmware. This is when i will probably buy a PS3!

If you would like anything testing, give me a yell and I'll see what I can do.

i dont have one, so i know very little about it tbh!

You holding out on getting a PS3 atm??

yes. Its too expensive and too limited atm for what i want from it. I am not really interested in the commercial games. maybe in time i will get one though.

Screw Bloodwych, im still waiting for the MegaloMania (PSPUAE STYLE), Horace has taken real pictures and added them to Megolomania. I still have to do the voice wav, so he can add it, :).

Best not post the preview pic, horace might get annoyed, ;).

Ah....MegaloMania a true classic. I remember being totally hooked on this game, the weird thing is, I tried this game again around 6 months ago and I haven't got a bleedin clue how to play it now. May have to go look for a manual........

Yes, this is where I totally agree. Games these days are far too concerned about the flashy graphics, with very little depth or content placed within the game. Thats why it's always a pleasure to go back to the 80s and 90s era and play through some of the classics again.

I'm defo gunna look into this. The ability to carry a pocket amiga with me, connect to my PS3 from anywhere around the world and store all the .ADF flies on my PS3 sounds interesting to say the least!
