Help with asf files
« on: August 27, 2008, 07:15:22 PM »

Hi all,
I've played with the Champions of Krynn savestate file (asf extension) and I've finished the game. Now I want to load my characters in the sequel Death Knight of Krynn, but when I go out to workbench to complete the transfer of the files of the characters and start the second game I receive a "Please replace voume champs in df0" message.

Is there any way to copy the files contained in the asf file?

I hope to have explain in the right way my problem, thanks in advance for your answers.

Only the person, who made the state can, as they have the champs adf install disk.

I noticed that you are the person who did it, is there any way you can help me extracting the SAVE directory to import my characters in Death Knight of Krynn? I can import them in my DKoK adfs using total commander AmigaDX plugin I think.

Did I, bugger. I have lost all my installer adf's, :(.

Heres an idea, how about insert an wb adf, then a blank in the other drive and just do df0:c/copy filename to df1:

this is why i created the Bloodwych and EOTB GUIs  8)

should be possible to extract the save file through CLI and copying it to a disk or something.

dunno if the 2nd game/part requires a seperate RISS tho?

Following the suggestion of FLO I have managed to properly copy my save files to a blank disk and then copy them into the Death Knight of Krynn Save directory, wonderful! The problem now is that the version I have of DKoK is bugged and it crashes loading the first combat sound during the game, but I will try to find a proper cracked version :)
