mastering amos-book a good buy?
« on: October 30, 2007, 05:51:20 PM »

Dear friends:

I have the game maker's manual (for amos) and I love that book. I also have the original amos pro manual and is great too. I noticed on ebay they are selling the book 'mastering amiga amos' for US$ 28.
is this a good buy?  Well..a few days ago...I read the amoszines...and found a review of this book...and they said this book is not worth of the money...that is just like a rehash of the amospro manual.
Can you help me?
Cheers!!!

Hi there Rednova,

Mastering Amiga AMOS is a great book. I have it myself and I often use it for reference while programming. It covers most of the important sections concerning AMOS, including AMAL. There are also plenty of examples included, which you can type into AMOS and fiddle around with. If you need some more info, for example a list of chapters, give me a sign, and I'll post it here. :)
