in these years i were seeing two interesting initiatives that perhaps would be amazing seeing Amos being a part of it:
1. retro game development contests, like Karoshi's msxdev (
http://karoshi.auic.es/index.php/board,26.0.html ), #msxdev compo (
http://msxbanzai.tni.nl/compo/ ), csscgc ( csscgc2013.blogspot.com ), smspower coding competition (
http://www.smspower.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=9 ), etc. - would be amazing seeing a year long lasting development competition about Amos, and it doesn't needed to be motivated by prizes (csscgc isn't, for example)
2. indie arcade initiatives like Torontron (
http://handeyesociety.com/torontron/ ) or Winnitron (
http://winnitron.ca/ ) - this would be an interesting showcase of actual games developed in Amos, and specially if developed from contests as i cited above - and not only this, since arcade machines based on Amiga actually exists (
http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=765&gid=494#494 ), they are pretty rare and too focused as laserdisc game kind.
What do you all think about these two ideas of initiatives, specially when combined?
