Official Amos Library ISO
« on: February 08, 2015, 12:37:25 PM »

Hi folks!
I just noticed that Official Amos Library ISO is available for download here:

http://www.amigamega.com/iso.html

I have not yet checked it out, but it sounds interesting.

I had a little look at it now.

It was sort of a false alarm.

It was written as 'The Official AMOS PD Library' from 11th Juli 1994. Though the archives is not the same as the one here in the download area at Ultimate Amiga.  :o

Unpacked main directory of ISO from Official_AMOS_Library.rar is 516 MB in size and the unpacked main directory of ISO from AmosPD_CD.zip is 507 MB in size.  ???

Here is a list of the main directory of ISO from Official_AMOS_Library.rar (516 MB):

When you get some time can you take a look in the Extensions folder? I'm curious as to what is in there.

I would take a look myself, but I don't have sufficient memory (about 512MB) to uncompress such a large archive and my harddrive is getting pretty full (just under 1GB free!). At some point in the next year or so I will have to upgrade to a larger one.

I haven't been into it in great detail, but everything looks identical to the AMOS PD Library CD except for the original APD-DMS and APD-LHA directories having been replaced by ones named 001-025, etc.  These contain expanded images of the disks.  That seems to be the only difference without spending a lot of time on it.  To put your mind at rest Lonewolf10, the Extensions directories are identical  ;) .
