Space Invaders (Yawn) again!
« on: January 28, 2018, 08:20:59 PM »

I always fancied making a Space Invaders game, so after about 24 years or so, I decided to try.

Here is where I'm up to so far....

I'm not expecting it to be super-duper or anything, just a slightly different take on the old theme.

Please have a look at my efforts so far, and criticism/ideas or indeed any feedback is very welcome, even if you think it's crap :)

So far I have .....
. Attract Mode
. Full screen scrolling starfield
. 55 FAAAAST invaders onscreen
. Sound FX

I Don't (yet) have
. Bonus Ship
. Onscreen scoring
. A decent "game over" sequence
. More than one level/board (see below)
. Other stuff I havn't thought of yet

For this you will need an A1200 with some FastRam (or Emulator running such a setup)
Also Winzip or something if you're not using Windoze
It should unpack to a Workbench executable called StarInvaders10.exe (129384 Bytes in size)

Double click from Workbench and it should load and play.

It will exit the program after game over with a keypress (or at anytime with Ctr+C)
This is a "work in progress" and not a finished project, Hope u like :)

Regards
V1
