Dont know what to say, you always do this, lol.
damn right, hes scared of change :-)
I like the idea of having devhook and homebrew in one nifty package, and having a piece of homebrew in a different directory (game150) is no work around, its just for kxploited 1.5 compat homebrew, whereas the "pure" homebrew (single folder) stuff goes in the game directory.
Can anyone say if theres any noticeable speed increase / decrease whilst using this firmware with any emulators? I'd like to know - if theres no slow-down I'm gonna give it a go.
IMO theres a few reasons why Id want to upgrade
1- Anti bricking protection
2- Easily customisable (esp now- custom load vids etc with no worries of brick)
3- Can turn off the UMD autoload (annoying with 1.5)
4- Dont have to start Devhook everytime you want to play a new game (or backup.... shhchh!)
5- Save lots of time buggering around
The only thing I dont want is a speed decrease! :E
Your first point, you obviously didnt read my post right, I didnt say anything about the KXploited Eboot, I was talking about the "pure Homebrew" as you call it, stick the single folder in the GAME150 folder, or just tell the psp that the game folder is 150. Until I look into the 3.02 kernel, then this is the best way to get it running.
As for speed decrease, there aint any that I have seen, the only speed decrease I have seen is with gta and eloader exploit, on older firmware versions, when using PSPUAE.
Last thing, it has alot more interesting features EmuChicken, like the button swapper,
. As for your comment, saying Horace is scared of change, thats a bit harsh, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Anyways, this post in reply to Emu`s post, please can we drop this now, this was only ment as a post to help people to get PSPUAE running with it, not a discussion on whether its crap or not. I only say this, as this thread is going way off now, and it will only continue to do so,
.
