CD32
« on: July 07, 2007, 02:24:26 AM »

Hello,

I am so far LOVING pspemu. I am interested in running cd32 games. I have downloaded the savestates for a few games and they all do the same thing. I do a load savestate and then it accesses my memstick and then the psp appears to shutdown.

I am running the new lumines exploit and 340OE.
Also is it possible to run CD32 iso's?

thanx

Need more info, as all states work fine with 0.62 and 3.40OE. I dont know what you mean by your using the lumines exploit? you shouldnt be using this for anything if you have already downgraded and upgraded to 3.40 OE.

Also, there is no AGA support. So only limited CD32 support is possible, and definately no ISO support. Once HD's work, you will be able to run a CD as a dir.

The reason I mentioned the Lumines Exploit as it is currently the only way to downgrade a PSP from 3.50 to 1.5. Once I was at 1.5 I upgraded via 340OE.  As far as CD32 not sure how to get the savestates to work.  As stated previously I have downloaded the savestates for a few CD32 games and they all do the same thing. I do a load savestate and then it accesses my memstick and then the psp appears to shutdown. Sorry if I am not explaining myself to well.

Can you tell me exactly how your installing them, as it sounds like your either missing the KickStart 3.1 or your not transfering the config files across.

Just to note I am able to play any of the other gamestate games aside from the ones that require whdload.
Ihave the following roms installed in the KICKS dir
Kick 1.3 renamed to kick13.rom
Kick 3.0 renamed to kick30.rom
kick 3.1 renamed to kick31.rom <- I thought this to be the extended CD32 rom needed

I copied the savestates IE projectxcd32.asf in the STATEs dir and the config part int he CONFIGS dir

I load up PSPUAE 0.62 CE (Turrican Backdrop) it loads to the 1.3 rom screen, I do a loadstate on the ProjectxCD32, the load menu darkens and it accesses the memory stick for about 5-10 secs and then the psp powers down.

you definately dont need the cd32 extended rom.

can you set pspuae to kickstart 3.1 and reset the amiga? does it crash then?

i still believe a dodgy 3.1 kickstart is the mostly likely cause - the one i have doesnt work either.

Doubt its the kick3.1, as i dont use 3.1 for states, only 3.0

I think its more likely the menu background. Trekster can you rename the MENU pic in the GUI folder. Then try again.

EDIT:- I see the problem your talking about, I need some time to investigate.

I forgot to mention I have already deleted both images under the gui folder. I will remove the kick31.rom as well.
