save game state problem
« on: December 08, 2008, 11:27:07 AM »

Hi there. total noob(ie) here lol. be gentle.

i have had great fun using this on my psp. playing LTC 2, Lemmings and Cannon fodder agmonst others.

i have one problem With Sensible World Of Soccer 95-96

i have custom edited some teams, and then it asks me to save. it then asks me for a SAVE GAME DISK to be inseted into the disk drive. now i can save the state , and i have done up until the point where it asks me to save , so i havent lost the work ive done so far.

but how to a make a save game disk  ???? so i can play with the edited teams?

any advice would be good

Thanks All

Hi and welcome
i thing you need the save disk image of the game to try.. (example disk-1, disk-2, save-disk)
or make one empty formated disk(adf) to try,but i dunno if this working fine..
wait and the answer of experiencedly members

Think Horace will know the answer, sure its a game he's familiar with  ;)

I've never played it so I'm not sure.

What i do know, is Dungeon Master and Captive both require you to format the save disk through the game menu formatting process, rather than just popping in any old winuae formatted adf.

I dont know the game in question, just wonder if it's the like dungeon master and captive save game disks.

Also: My Captive save disk was created in winuae - labelled "CAPTIVE FREEDOM DISK.adf" and its 1,760 k-bytes not the usual 880 k-bytes.

just in case anyone needs one, rather than using the pspuae savestate feature  :) ( you can save your game 10 tmies at anytime on the savedisk)

I also keep 10 dungeon master save disks handy in pspuae and make a fresh save at the start of a new level, its always handy if you fancy going back to play a particular level.  :)

SWOS uses standard amiga DOS disks, and i'm sure it has a 'format' facility in the options somewhere.

either. create a blank in winuae, or copy one of your regular double-density (880kb) ADFs, renamed it "SWOS-SaveDisk.adf" ,  insert in DF0: , format and use accordingly.

Does SWOS -require- you to save your custom teams however?

thinking about it, i think the SWOS-AmigaOnline RISS in the downloads section contains a SWOS savedisk. (and probably some custom teams too) .... why not just copy that and use it?

Good Luck

Horace, Many thanks . i downloaded the file and it also includes a save disk, which i used on my copy to save the editied team.

Also, the updated version is fantastic!! is there an 08/09 update coming down (some gamers are never happy!  ;D)

Thanks Again , :)
