How about making some HighScores Tournament? It would be fun competing for the best scores on some games.

Rules are simple:

An Amiga  Game will be choosen and be played for 1 week
In this week the players have to get the Best Score they can get and submit the score as a screenshot in here.
Of course cheating is not allowed :d
You can play on your Amiga , Pc or PSP


We could make a Leaderboard and everyone who won a week would get 1 point on it

would an handicap system be implemented for being an old git?  lol

I have bad eyesight, slow reaction times, bit deaf, dodgy arthritis in my fingers....I should get a +6 Handicap lol.

It's not a bad idea in principle, each person would have there personal fav games though, thats where I'd see problems arising.

We could make a 1 day vote for the first time  or announce a tournament leader a neutral person who annouces the game. Its not for beeing the best , its for the fun ( At least when im loosing haha ;d )

I Personally think games like Giana Sisters , Pinball Fantasies , IK+ or Pang are great for this

About the handycap , depends how old you are haha ^^

well, one things for sure....old Delta always ends up flat on his backside, soon as the deflect the bouncing balls in IK+ starts, i'm hopeless at it! lol

my only trouble with score competitions is that generally people dont have the time to regularly compete. EAB & Lemon Amiga both run a shared competition, but you'll notice some weeks no one posts any scores at all. (each round lasts several weeks)

And how do you regulate games which play badly on PSPUAE?  Pinball Fantasies would be easy if you turned off the frameskip, becuase it would run so slowly! Also, if a game comes up which is unplayable on the PSP (eg NZS) , there may be competitors who cant play because they only run UAE on the PSP.

sadly Horace is correct, the psp isn't a valid platform to compete equally, it would be a real miss-mash affair.

In the future it could be possible I guess, who knows what the PSP 2 might be capable of

What about the Wii, . Although you have to play it through RCA connectors and not Component (as component runs to fast).
