I got a question , can someone send me a rar or zip folder with some adf games or fame c savestates? I would do myself but without pc its a pain doing it 1 by 1 thanks

Hungry Horace

you can download them all by letter (eg. everything beginning 'A') fromt the front page

Personally, i rarely use the fame/c version. too unstable.

ToonFisch

Yes but arent they only for PSPUAE 0.72 Normal?

Hungry Horace
29 April 2009, 17:08:12
i thought 'non' fame/c savestates would still load on fame/c ? i havent tested tbh.

FOL

Remember horace the registers are different, so it tries to stick the data into the wrong place, when it loads 0.72 normal states.

Hungry Horace
29 April 2009, 21:42:51
ah well. then i guess Delta may be the only person with fame/c savestates?

delta191
30 April 2009, 17:39:45
I'm sure some people have quite a few Fame/c savestates by now.
Surely I'm not the only person intrested in seeing there favorite Amiga games running faster on there handheld.

delta191

As you've probably guessed, Most Fame/C states I use are made from the delightful ADF
format. I've probably done around 30 at a guess, I intend trying many more favorite games. Been busy on Demonoid.com creating/uploading lots of PSX to PSP conversions. I'll be back! lol

FOL

ermmm, delta, thats naughty.

Hungry Horace
30 April 2009, 19:24:03
ok, i assumed ToonFisch was talking about RISS, not adf-states. I thought you had some of these, since you have th install disks now?

delta191
30 April 2009, 22:01:46
I had lots of PSP lockups/PSP power off trying the install disks with Famec, I'm not even sure if I managed to get any to work, I'll need to check what states I have, then check my disks folder to see which are from ADF/Riss. It's been quite a few months since I created any new states at all. If

delta191
30 April 2009, 22:10:25
If I have managed to create any Famec RISS's I'll certainly pass them on.
I'd only ever wish to help/share the link between pspuae and amiga games.

indeed, I havn't done any Famec States with install disks, I was thinking I might have but they were with 0.72 normal. And I cant find any install disks on my freecom....ggrrrrr

Hungry Horace
01 May 2009, 17:19:19
they are still on the ftp though delta, you can always re-download them

delta191
01 May 2009, 20:21:36
thanx for PM with links Horace, I'd lost FTP link off my favorites when I formatted my C:\ drive, thought i'd backed up install disks on my freecom. I  sound like FOL LOL

delta191

I'll try some install disks on Famec, see if it's possible to make a Famec Riss.

delta191
01 May 2009, 21:08:54
tried chaos engine installs, all good extracting until I get pop up box "volume Ram disk is full"
Horace? does it need more RAM allocated? I'm using chipmem 2048, no fast ram, should I use 4096 for fastmem?

delta191
01 May 2009, 21:23:29
sorted it, created chaos engine famec riss, so it is possible  i did have my doubts but its worked ok.

Hungry Horace
01 May 2009, 21:57:29
yes, you always need fastram.

4 meg is a good starting point. some need more, some need less.

I was rusty lol, forgotten what configs I used. Would including the HOL .pdf manuals for Amiga games be a bad idea? they are quite handy.

Hmmmmm, noone listens to a word I say. I mentioned a few times, states work fine. Its only the older states (using the old core) that wont work. I mentioned this in beta testing, I find it odd that everyone is popping up and saying, didnt think it would work, lol.

FOL
Also, yes it would be a bad idea, cause HOL would lynch us for stealing their data.

stealing data....I'd rather call it sharing but I guess your correct.
Managed Alien Breed SE and Chaos Engine Famec Riss's last night.

It sounds like you mi-understand FOL

you said the non-fame/c RISS wouldnt work on fame/c (different core, differnet registers)

I send Delta some RISS-install disks so he could make his own RISS on fame/c

He was under the impression (i think) they wouldnt always work. On that, he is correct. Quite a few WHDload installers seem to fail on FAME/C, preventing you from making a RISS.

I have a few manuals I made into PDFs which i submitted to HOL but have not been uploaded yet. I dont see any reason you couldnt have those, but it is only a handful of games.

I think, if HOL are made aware (ask CodyJarrett) and properly creditted, they may not have a problem with you including manuals.

Hit a few problems last night, such a shame because everything was going well with the first few RISS's  :(

Goldrunner installs extracted ok with installs but then powers off PSP.
I know goldrunner runs ok with a ADF on Fame/c, guess it's something to do with ADF cracked intro or something, remember Horace mentioned something to do with Fame/c and cracked intro's being either less compatible or more compatible.

I must ask, is there any point keeping FAME/C Riss's that have some graphic glitches? we know some games display these occasional but annoying graphic garble eg: Menace, Ruff n Tumble.

the games are fast but spoilt by these imperfections, I've tried many settings to see if I can get rid of them, the main way is to change the CPU speeds but with some games it doesn't work, we know this is a problem with Fame/c.

Should I forget/delete these RISS's and move on, or keep them, just incase they are useful in the future?  :-\

Keep the riss's that work good.

You are correct on the CPU adjustment.
I couldnt be bothered to mention about settings anymore, cause people cry when you mention adjusting settings.
