I doubt the CD32 would fit into my top 5 consoles....infact, let's see;
1.  SNES
2.  PS1
3.  N64
4.  NES
5.  PS2

...maybe my top 10?

6.  PS3
7.  Gameboy
8.  Atari 2600
9.  Sega Megadrive
10.  CD32

...so there we go.

@ linesmachine, the topic clearly says "1989-93", so most of your list wouldnt apply.

when i writtten body blows i mean body blows ultimate version from cd 32 was(i mean still is and will be) 100 x times better than street fighter i wold say it is better even than tekken 3

I dont know if Im supposed to take what karol300993 said seriously or not....  Have you even played any beatemup OTHER than Body Blows?  ... IK+ was far superior to BB... and that was just a lil fun mess aboot

i have played street fighter2 and mortalkombat2 mk was good but next versions mk4 and unchained was crap street fighter was boring maybe someone like it but i dont feel the same tekken 3 is cool but body blows ultimate is best has better soundtracks and style of gaming + have best ideas like water reflections ;phantom can hit from underground and animation of that was spectacular
and much more things

@Anemos;  The only consoles I still own are the top 4 on my list;
1. SNES
2. PS1
3. N64
4. NES

Due to moving house they are all in storage and currently don't see daylight.  Hopefully that will change once I've moved later this year.  That said, the SNES gets a Xmas bashing when my brother and I meet up for some SFII!

still no have 16bit consoles,i never haved.. i start with ZX48 ,Atari,Amiga, friend of computing gaming.. :D
now i have newest consoles :

PS1 (faulty) from a friend.. i want some time to go fix it..
PS2 moded (with eye toy camera!=cool)
PS3 fat

Handless:
iGame(JXD-V3),
Dingoo,
PSP -fat,
NDS-L (for my daughter) ,
GBA-SP,
GAme Gear.

A lot of my mates don't like the N64, but I'm a big fan of Turok II and Goldeneye, and I thought the controller was ace for FPS but slightly awkward for anything else, my fave controller overrall is the Play station (if anyoen is interested!).

By the way, that's an excellent selection of modern handhelds.  I'd love a GBA SP.
