Is it possible to make a striped down version of PSPUAE to just emulate an Amiga 500 to get moor speed ;D

Wont work, even with all its features, its slightly faster than PSPUAE4all.

Really appreciated the effort FOL, not had much time to test yet but I've tried the 0.80 savestate of goldrunner and it booted up a treat!

really cool work! now the pspGo isn't so useless  8)

I've also tried these emu's they all work with full sound:

gpSP_kai_32_test_01_64mb
psp_mame4all_v4.9r2-usermode
CaSTawayPSP 006

Great job FOL  ;)

Thanks,

[RANT]
But others wont agree, apparently as one Italian site put it. They will get a full speed psp emulator once I have my grandchildren.

Im really tired of all the put downs (been at it for 5 years in my spare time), I gave speed increases on almost every prior release.
Still they are'nt happy, I never said I was a coder, Im just a normal guy.

What is it? so a Pentium 100MHz emu could run Amiga stuff quite decent. Thats cause they were in ASM, almost all emulators have moved away from ASM. I DONT KNOW ASM, like I said like a million times. We have an ASM core, but Im unable to get it working. A more experienced coder could sort it in a few hours (so I was told).

Im not going to go begging to the old devs, as they left obviously for their own reasons.

So, I say to everyone who bitches. Join the team, give us a full speed emulator.
[/RANT]

Back on topic;

Delta, try SMSPlus, that works a treat, :).

Good rant! LOL

Well, I always say it takes all sorts to make up the society we live in, fat/thin, tall/small, good/bad, generous/tight arses, introverts/extroverts, violent/peaceful, rude/curtious, ect ect.

Apply the same Philosophy to people posting/running sites and forums, you get roughly the same breakdown.

The postings merely reflect what society has created, it's sad to see how folk have become increasingly impatient, wether thats someone waiting for the postman to deliver a parcel, someone waiting for the bus, someone trying to jump a cue at the cash dispenser, even a child waiting for a birthday or Xmas present, everything is here, right now!!!

Thankfully, there are still people who will practice patience, who'd be tolerant towards others, these folk are generally less rude and respect others, as they would wish to be respected upon themselves.

For every unappreciative nut job that exists, we probably have someone polite and virtuous who helps restore the balance, the problem arises when we have a majority of nut jobs, then its time to call it "game over"

Anyway FOL, you have your backing here on this site, people are right behind you 100%
Don't let the nut jobs posting on other sites waver you, brush them to one side and move onwards.

that's me done, who rants next?

time for bed! or if your normal, time for breakfast.

Very nice to see your still working on the new releases Fol. As allways don't bother listening to all the usual moaners... just please carry on updating as best to what you can - its all very much appreciated! :)

I haven't got my psp right now (its in storage like most of my things right now as I've got a sprog on the way later this year :)) but a portable amiga on-the-go is the main reason (well that and also mame) for me to keep my PSP.

Hi FOL,

I normally don't participate in forums but this time I thought that I should. I have 25 emulators on my PSP 3000. The one I care most is UAE because I used (and still have, in good condition) an Amiga 2000 decades ago and I like the nostalgia of returning to these old Amiga classics.

Already, you've done a fantastic job and the purpose of this post is to encourage you to continue the work on PSPUAE. I must confess that I presently use UAE4ALL because it runs some of my favorite games a tad faster. But, I follow closely the development of PSPUAE because it's so much better in terms of interface, usability and functionality. I plan to switch as soon as PSPUAE runs some of my favorite games at about the same speed.

So, don't let some lamers discourage you because, for each one of those whiners, there's 10 silent folks like me that appreciate what you're doing. I visit this forum every day since I got into Amiga emulation for PSP and will continue to do so.

Keep up the good work!

Something has changed in the latest HBL and PSPUAE no longer works. Aint had chance to look at HBL source for changes yet.

So stick to v79 as PSPUAE works fine with that.

Thanks for the headsup FOL, I'll stick with 0.79, I was tempted by the 0.85 version because it's supposed to fix a few bugs with the GBA advance emulator.
I still prefer to have pspuae installed.

Have you noticed that your emu's only get recognised if you copy them to the PSPgo's internal memory, they don't appear when you have them on your memory card. :(

Thanks FOL, I'll give 0.85 a try, lets hope all emu's are working on the PSPgo with some more updates.

Hopefully as many updates as Daedalus! lol. :o

I see Sony are bundling 10 free games with a PSPgo, I'd still rather have the Emu's all working, as for those awful PSP mini games......arrgghhh.

Its wierd with BETA3 on latest Exploit R0.85, PSPUAE seems to run very good with chipset set to 100% on some games.
Never had that before.

very intresting.

As you probably already know , I've always been a fan of using the chipset setting to balance speed with better sound. Some games allow you get to the 100% setting without ill effect but i find the 55%-80% is usually best.

My testing generally found  the Chipset 100% made the sound better but made things sluggish and less responsive but less jerky.

I'd generally start off at chipset= 40% then work upwards, judging the trade off between better sound, smoothness and speed/responsivness, increasing upto a max of chipset=85%

Another common problem i found with increasing the chipset setting, was graphical glitches/breakup. Sometimes reducing the chipset=% setting had to be done to eradicate these unacceptable annoyances.

Also.....some problems were encountered with loading adf savestates, when the game had a high chipset=% setting in the savestate.

I'll try doing some testing  :)

Just a Polite enquiry FOL, is it possible to run FAME-C PSPUAE on Halfbyte Loader, or would it mean loads of work?

If it's not halfbyte Loader compatible, would it be possible to tweak Fame-C to run on the PSPgo?  :-\

Going to test it now, just didn't enter my head before now  :o
