Here is where you can order an Amos Professional manual.  Unfortunately, I think this is the only way to get the information you need.

Somebody posted a link on Amiga.org to some old Public-Domain disks with Amos documentation on them at http://redump.emubase.de/lsd_search.php?col=title&q=amos

I contacted Software Hut a few days ago, and they told me that they are out of stock.

Does anyone know where else I can purchase a copy of AMOS Professional user's guide?

Those LSD docs are a transcription of AMOS The Creator user's manual.

Has anyone come across the AMOS Professional user's manual transcribed into text file format?

AMOS Professional came with online documentation and help system.  You can access it from within the AMOS editor under the help menu I believe or by pressing the "help" key on the (Amiga) keyboard.  If you have the AMOS Creator manual, these help docs should be able to fill in the differences.

Yeah. When I first bought AMOS Pro sometime WAY back, I found the help system to contain the exact same info as what was in the manual anyways, which meant I hardly ever opened the manual after I found the help system.

Hmmm, I thought the Pro manual had some extra functions and examples, oh well.

Yes. The AMOS Pro manual does have exclusive stuff which is unlikely (I haven;t checked for it myself) to be in the help system, such as:

 - AMOS Memory bank structures

 - Copperlist info (not needed if you see my threads :) )

 - Extra commands (eg. Interface commands, but I don't know if they actually work, lol)

Spellcoder has already got an online manual of sorts on www.amigacoding.com , not sure if what you are doing will be better or not. Certainly the one on Amiga Coding appears to lack a command index at present.

Just letting you know, I'm not trying to put you down for your work, but I'd hate to see you waste alot of time for something that's already been done.

The "manual" on AmigaCoding is just the help files from the AmosPro help system.  I think Asymmetrix is doing the actual AmosPro printed manual itself.

Ahhh, in that case Asymetrix keep up the work. If you do a page a day it'll only(!) take just over a year to do.  :o
