DarkBasicPro now free for single-user licneses
« on: November 01, 2009, 11:29:52 PM »

Just a quick note for any Windows users waiting patiently Mattathias or any other version of Basic for Windows:  DarkBasicPro has been released as free of charge for any home user license.  If you're not familiar with DarkBasic or DarkBasicPro, it is a version of BASIC for Windows that is designed to be a modern AmosPro by a famous former AmosPro user named Lee Bamber.  Stop by TheGameCreators.com and download your free copy today.

That is great news. I already have it, but still. It is very powerful for a Basic language and the simple stuff is very similar to AMOS. You can code almost anything in a really sloppy fashion and it still runs quickly.

It is practically AMOS for PC's, but with a few changes due to the different hardware and modernisation. I am surprised they have done this tbh, maybe people were downloading it from torrents anyway or maybe they have a new version up their sleeves(doubtful).

Hi:

I already had the commercial version of DarkBasic.
It is super and easy to use. I might even use it sometime in the future.
Cheers !!!

@rednova

The regular edition or the professional edition?  This download is for the professional edition!

It's advertisement supported but that's good enough for my purposes.  I just want to clone it not actually make anything with it!

Thats great that Lee is still about, and still working on projects inspired by AMOS :)
At the moment though, I am still busy working on Amiga projects, so the PC will have to wait :)
