Hi,

Just downloaded the game and am trying to get to grips with it. I am a big fan of Command & Conquer, so I hope I get the hang of this quickly and can start to enjoy playing it :)

I love the intro, the sound effects and the speech ("target acquired...") :)
The graphics are great, but it is hard to see the tanks locations (green on green etc.) on the map (Game 1).

Edit:

After spending a few hours playing Game 1, I take back my comments about it being hard to see the units - you get used to it over time. As a fan of Cannon Fodder, Command & Conquer and Supreme Commander (futuristic Command & Conquer clone) I absolutely love the game, and have managed to complete Game 1 already (not sure if it was luck or skill!) :)

If anyone else is a fan of the games I mentioned, then this is definately worth a play.

Regards,
Lonewolf10

Dont forget to take colins challenge to win some prizes.

Yeah, I just re-read about the competition today just to check when the competition closes. (December 2011)

It is worth entering, as all entries get 4 new levels to play with! :)

I have now beaten games 1,3 and 4. Despite multiple attempts at game 2 I still can't do it. Atleast there is still 2 months until the competitiion closes :)

Hmm, there is a bug (in atleast level 2) where if you are down to one unit left and the computer doesn't kill it, as soon as it is time to choose the next unit to control the game crashes back to Workbench with an error message ("Illegal operation", or something similar).

I'm still struggling to beat level 2 :(

Added November 26, 2011 at 07:18:31pm:
Actually, I think it returns to workbench with the "illegal function call" error after x number of turns, as I just had it happen again (and I'm pretty sure that I still had all 3 remaining infantry units alive).

Edit 2:
Yup. I had 2 units (both infantry) left (both were onscreen) and was praying they would make it to the target area, which was also onscreen, as they only had 5 moves to go before completing level 2 when the game returned to workbench with the "illegal function call" error. That was a 5 hour battle I nearly won and possibly my best chance yet at beating it.

After many attempts (30+), I finally beat level 2 this week. It took me a mammoth 7 hours and the last hour was nerve wrecking. After I had cleared the target area (there's a good 6 or 7 tanks there, plus infantry) I kept having tanks from other parts of the level come up and defend it in a last ditch attempt stylee. I was down to around 7 or 8 infantry units (plus 1 tank stuck miles away) at this point, and by the time I completed the level I only had 2 infantry units (plus the tank) left!

Fastmancol if you are reading this, expect my entry (via email) for the competition sometime this weekend :)
A fantastic game, and I still feel that level 2 is the hardest - atleast for me.

Has anyone heard from fastmancol?

I PM'ed him my entry (and also sent him an email) but haven't heard anything from him yet. Yes, I'm a touch eager to get those extra 4 levels ;)

Odd, I was in contact with him about 4 months ago. I will have to check my emails to see if I can try and contact him.
