Hey guys,
This is kind of a noob-ish question but when I Try to install a program on the ram (after i change disks),
The program says it has successfully installed, but when I run The
program it's coming up saying something like "ERROR wate for the program
To finish". I get an option to "reboot" or "suspend".
I can't reboot because it cleares the ram after it reboots and the
Program is gone!
Is there anyway possible to successfully load the program I installed?

What your exactly trying to do.

I'm using kickstart 3.1 to load up workbench 3.1
(work31.adf). After I load up the workbench adf on floppy drive 1 (dh0),
I insert "real3d20_disk1" to floppy drive 2 (dh1) and run the installation
Program. It askes me where I want to install real3d to.
I choose the ram and follow the instructions.
Basically after I change the install disks on dh1 the program
Says it installed. When I go to the ram and load the program after
Installation, it says wate for the program to finish.
I asked a freand and he says that some Amiga software needs to reboot
Before you can use it because of the changes.
I need to know a way around this.
I don't really know much about the config i'm on, the only thing
I changed before use is the CPU wich is 1200 (I THINK, Maby wrong),
all the ram is Max apart from the first 1 wich is the second highest
(can't remember what ram) etc.
Hope this helps. If it doesn't then u can tell me what config u recommend. I just want to know away round this

Dont think that will work, as its proberly expecting a full workbench install.
Still need more info on your config.
CPU, CHIPSET, etc etc.

My CPU is "6820
CPU cycles is "normal"
Cycles option is "locked"
CPU speed is "max"

My chipset settings are...
Blitter cycle exact "on"
Collision mode is "full"
Chipset is "ecs"

My ram settings are...
Fastmem "4096kb"
Chipmem "2048kb"
Bogomem "1536kb"

My driver config is...
Floppy speed "normal"
Both DF0 & DF1 is "3.5 dd"
That's bout it.

As for the workbench, when it reboots, it says "can't find ram"
(meaning can't find the program) when installed on ram.
If its Installed on a blank adf, after reboot,
the program stays on the adf,
So it most likely will work. but sometimes after it reboots, it crashes
The emulator. But the program I want to install can't fit on
Anysize adf. I used another program for that.
I need it on the ram, especially for this new pspuae

There's your problem.

RAM: is volatile, meaning it is cleared after re-boot. Anything installed to RAM: will be wiped once you reset the machine.

You need to mount RAD: and install to that, because it acts in a similar way to non-volatile memory, and retains information after a soft-reset.

i forget off the top of my head, but after booting workbench (full version) you can probably just type "mount rad:" into a CLI, or access the device for mounting via the DEVS folder.

You have'nt done it all.
Its telling you dont have a mount list. That page Horace linked to tells you how to make one.

Sorry, didn't see that part.
Must of read it about 100 times and didn't understand it that well.
I'm going to look at it now, but just in case I don't understand it,
Can u give me a quick brief example on how to do it?

Right. It's mounted.
Now I need to know how my mounted rad will
Still be there after reboot. Because after I reboot, it's not there
Anymore and I lose everything.
What do I do?
