PSPUAE installs fine using VHBL and lets you launch to just before the PSPUAE Logo, black screen and back to Vita's home menu.
Hopefully its sony's bug, the same error code is being experienced by some genuine psp mini titles bought officially through PSN.
you did install it with kickstarts right?
LOL, could i be so stupid? of course!! I'm not sure but you got me thinking now, maybe I did?
I'll have a few more attempts, might try 0.72 version, I seen something about lots of psp signed stuff causing problems, including legit mini's.
Its quite possible pspuae wont run, lots of psp homebrew just wont work with VHBL so far.
I tried picodrive v1.35 which is suppose to work, It wont work for me!!
So I tried v1.51, that works, then crashes when you try selecting a new rom.
You still getting a Vita Horace? hope so, I'm confident you'll find a way of running PSPUAE. Just need you to twist FOL's arm up his back, he's gotta get one!!
I'm going experimenting again, I'll be 100% sure to stick those kickstarts in the install
UPDATE:
Well, I checked 0.80 beta 20, the kicks were indeed in the install and a second install produced the same black screen with the same error code.
I was about to call it it quits but decided to grab the 0.72 version off the site and try again.
Install went well, bingo! the pspuae logo appeared, then we get to menu by pressing select.....wow, its working!
mmm....then things go wrong again
I used a clean 0.72 install with kicks and a few fav .adf's unzipped to eliminate any problems, no savestates, no configs ect.
although the game .adf files are viewable and scrollable, when you actually select one nothing happens, it wont insert into the drive.
So in short:
PSPUAE 0.72 installs using VHBL
PSPUAE boots up and you can get to the PSPUAE 0.72 menu's
You can view/scroll adf files in disks.
Thats where things end, unable to insert adf in either drive
I'm missing something but seem close. The problem is very similiar to picodrive 1.35. Everything goes well up to the point of selecting the rom/ADF from the menu. Your able to select the Rom/ADF but the emulator doesn't seem to recognise your selection and carries on without recognising your selection.
I'm going to try some zipped ADF's and hope to get further!!
