Doubt, Ill get a vita as hack has already been patched by sony.
Plus by the time I find out about hacks, they are yanked and patched.
Sony appears to jump on anything instantly these days.
Vita may be a nice console, but they have given themselves extra security as they control the downloadable content.

you are joking right FOL??  We are talking literally *days* after release and you have given up already?

tsk-tsk. I'm disappointed FOL - I thought you knew better than that ;) Door being opened, etc etc

If you think one (very minor tbh) exploit an patch is it, you gotta be kidding!

I know, but I have been wanting a PC upgrade for 4 years+ now.
Granted my PC can still play all the latest games, but I think its time to upgrade.

Thought you had a vita, you got it exploit running?

I do, but the "not online" content manager is for the PC. What with FS-UAE netplay having appeared, I really havent the time to try and get PSPUAE running on the vita tbh.... I get about one night a week free at the moment with all my R.L. commitments

That will change by the summer though.....

Hello everybody, from some old Amiga fan ;)

Today I've managed to run PSPUAE v0.80 beta13 on Everybody’s Tennis VHBL exploit and I have same problem as delta191: selecting any .adf file in menu makes screen flash and nothing is happening...

I'm curious could that be just a menu bug? Is there a way to set what game file PSPUAE should autorun, so it doesn't have to be selected in menu first?

You could load a config with the adf saved.

I dont have a Vita, so I cant play around with it.
You could also use the savestates available here.

Hi Folks,

Sony has released the PS Vita SDK today! The beta is open for public download, here:

http://www.playstation.com/pss/developer/index_e.html

After the public beta phase, it will get official and custom apps can get into psn store after sonys approval, but then the sdk has to be bought (I think it's 100 euros per year).

But I don't think emulators will be allowed.

hmm... for me, the vita has lost lots of its initial bling-bling... it turns out that the public sdk is crippled. It is an SDK for the whole sony platform (Xperia, tablet and so on), and thats why you can acess only the specs of the weakest device!!!

This is so stupid... they have the most advanced mobile device on the market, they release a public SDK so everyone can code apps, and then, all the power you can get with the SDK is that of a phone!!!

I won't buy one until emulators run on it with full power. So probably never, given how heavily it is protected.

The good news from that is: PSPUae still is my favourite mobile amiga-emulator, and it seems it will stay that way for a long time. ;D

Been looking into this, have to be fair, have'nt looked at vita stuff at all.

So Im alittle confused as there are to many splintered versions of VHBL do to the seperate games they run on. Was trying to find out if there are any new sdk libs for it.

I think it would be the best to try checking what's wrong on: 6.60 TN-B,
as it has (from what i understand) access to system (emulator) kernel and probably best changes to run PSPUAE on it.

I hope you'll be able make it work :)

My go is on 6.60 TN from what I remember.
So excuse me, as that comment is confusing even more.

When HBL was released (before vita was released), it included updated libs to make it work correctly.
Every VHBL I have looked at dont have these. I have searched around the dev forums for info, but cant find anything.
Think Im to far out of the loop in regards to Vita.

i believe there is a 6.60 TN update which specifically works via Vita HBL exploits, allowing "proper" PSP homebrew / backup access on the Vita.

I'm not sure is it any useful but uae4all usermode is able to load and run games on 6.60 TN CEF (Custom Emulator Firmware) - and yeah, I think it's different from psp 6.60 TN version.

with the release of the latest PSP CFW for the Vita, i decided to give it  a go. I must admit, it's pretty good.

I read on (i think) wololo's site that te Vita PSP emulator is capable of running above the PSP's limited 333 mHZ clock speed, and this made it of interest of me with regards to PSPUAE.

I tried it out, and it installed and runs ok, but  as reported by cootue above, you cannot 'hook' any files (ADFs, Configs or States) , although the kicsktart 1.3 screen does load up.

The drive folder at the top still states "MS0:/PSP/GAME/PSPUAE/DISKS/"  ... i dont know if this is accurate as i would have thought the file position was diffrent on the Vita.

The directory listing works, so perhaps the dir listing is using a fixed (full) path, while to laod/select options use relative paths (which fails due to new positioning?)

FOL - could you look into this?

Been out of the loop with latest psp developments.
Is there any toolchain files with latest release. With previous stuff, they have given extra stuff for toolchain.

No, it's just a PSP-Emulator exploit.... afaik the toolchain files would be as-before for standard PSP.... there is a source-files version, but no mention of any extra toolchain files - keep in mind, this is not a "new" PSP CFW as such, it's just a loader which utilises (i think) parts of the PSP CFW in order to run homebrew via the exploited PSP game.

here is the most recent thread on installation i can find:
