For some reason I was never very good at playing this game.

Scoring goals wasn't the problem, it was everything else which improved the scoreline which I just couldn't seem to get right.

Its probably the only game that I've lost more then I've won against friends (and AI).

I used to love charging the ball up and throwing at the center piece, ah wasted youth, bring it back, lol

Ever since I set up my A500 I've kept picking up the Speedball 2 floppy and considered having a go, but the memories keep returning and I end finding a different game instead to play.

haha, you've taken out his centre forward who he spent all that cash on, and now he's ****ed because you've just racked up the double multplier, and keep smashing the hot-ball through his goalie!

YEAH! Speedball 2 is one of the greatest games I've played...and I haven't played many.
Just a few weeks ago I rakced up an amazing 300 - ??? by just throwing the ball at the stars.
I did have help from the 15 - 20 bonus on the sides.

I've also played Speedball 2100 on the PS1. It is a cross between crust and good. Here are the good points to Speedball 2100
1 - You can rename the original players (Some names like Little Shorn J and others came up between me and my Dad)
2 - You can belt the other players while you have the ball

The Bad Points
1 - NO Div 1 Star Players...
2 - Division 1 Teams are really bad (They turn Star Players into Turds)

Really stick to Speedball 2, methinks.

Couldn't resist to post this here :
HOL entry for Speedball 2
- 60 screenshots
- 2 manuals
- 2 boxes
- the disk
- 5 ads for SBII

 8)  ;D

Played SBII to death with my mates and it's one of the best 2 player games on the Amiga for sure.  :D

Perhaps max-rocking levels could be radically increased with creation of 30ft tall motion controlled guitar thrashing robot simulacrum.

Result: We rocked the f*ck out.
